How i shot, what i shot, and why…
Here is an image from my second promotional fitness shot with Mark “Boxfit” personal trainer, taken at a local park in ilford. I do love shooting on location when the sun is just right, and am able to dial down all the excess light.
DATE: 23/5/10
CAMERA: Canon 500d
LIGHT SOURCE: Canon Speed light 430 EX mk2, through a 28inch umbrella – Camera Left, i cant remember the power settings but its possible the flash was set to 1/4 power
LENS: Canon EF-S 18-55 mm at 27mm
EXPOSURE: 1/200th at F/4.0
ISO: 100
RETOUCHED: No
WHY THIS SHOT: this was captured mid flow, whilst mark was throwing boxing combinations. I like the intensity of his concentration. With ensight i would liked to have position Mark to avoid the mix of red brick and stone.
Combo Training
At what now seems to be me home from home, I’m back at the Reebok Sports Centre for another Combo Training Session, under the professional and skilled hands of Stevie G. Reebok Sports Centre’s Resident Boxing Coach.

Lighting Techniques and Diagrams
Hi Guys
Following on from the surprising response’s i got from my Previous Post (there are readers :))
I will be posting lighting set-ups and the reason i chose that technique. By way of drawings, photos on set of the light set-up, or print screens from an iPhone app i use called Sylights
For those of you that ask about editing techniques or tuts, i’ll have to get over my stage freight lol or fiqure out a way to clone my self (successfully)

Several months ago whilst tweeting, via the Twitter app for iPhone, I came across an avi/Dp of @juiceeyfruitJ a professional published model and beauty therapist.
The image was not professionally taken, it had no retouching, it was actually taken from a mobile phone. However this image was compiling and captivating, the creative content of the image had me actually feeling good and confirmed to me that my ideas of fancy equipment and technical supreme knowledge are nothing without a vision and a creative soul.
Which lead to us working together…
